There are a few different ways to install on Mac OS X:

• Recommended method: Install VMWare Fusion (Free trial) from VMWare.com and one of the Xastir images from here: VMWare Player Images (via Torrent)
• Fink - installing using Fink port tools (no detailed instructions listed here yet)
• Macports - install using Macports tools
• MacOSXpackage - install a precompiled binary
• MacOSXsource - build all support packages then xastir from source
